How much should I tip?+
Customs vary by country. In the United States 15–20% is common for table service; in many other countries a smaller tip or none at all is normal. The calculator lets you set any percentage.
How is the bill split?+
The total (bill plus tip) is divided evenly by the number of people, so everyone pays the same share including their portion of the tip.
