Preguntas frecuentes

How are my daily calories calculated?+

We estimate your basal metabolic rate (BMR) with the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, then multiply by an activity factor to get your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) — the calories you burn in a typical day.

How many calories should I eat to lose weight?+

A deficit of about 500 calories a day is a common target for losing roughly 0.5 kg (1 lb) per week. The calculator shows mild and standard weight-loss targets alongside your maintenance level.

Is this medical advice?+

No. These are estimates for general guidance only. Calorie needs vary by individual — consult a doctor or dietitian before starting a weight programme.
